All I want for Christmas

Thanks to all my amazing supporters, I had JUST enough money in my support account by today's deadline: $10,000!

The next deadline is in March. I'll need to be fully funded ($14,600 total) by that date in order to finish out the race!

So far you have sent me to:

(Click on the first 3 countries to see what God did through your support in each one!)

The Philippines

Malaysia

Thailand

Cambodia

Tanzania

With your help, I will be able to continue to these countries:

India

Nepal

Romania

Ukraine

God has been doing some amazing things in and through me, and I can't wait to see, and share with you, all that He will do in the following months!

Thank you

I have 26 brothers

I LOVE Cambodia!

The people, the food, and the weather are all amazing!

I love the changes that have occurred this month:

I myself have changed, the teams have all switched up, and the type of ministry we're doing is completely new to me.

Which brings me to my brothers.

I LOVE my brothers!

My team (Spare Ribs...more on this later) is working with Teen Challenge this month in a tiny town about 1 1/2 hours outside of Cambodia's capital - Phnom Penh. You may have heard of Teen Challenge before. They are ALL over the United States, and now within 90 countries around the world.

Teen Challenge is a rehab center for boys and men who are recovering drug addicts. It's a year long program, that focuses not only on their physical restoration and freedom, but every other aspect of their lives as well, including spiritual. Right now there are 26 men at the center.

It's amazing to see how these men have been transformed from violent, angry drug addicts/dealers, to joyful, loving, and serving men of God!

Our first day at the center we shared our stories, about how God transformed our lives. They were so touched by this, that one by one, several of them shared their own stories. We were touched in return by just how amazing God is in drawing and saving His children!

We spend most of our time at the center, getting to know the men, teaching Bible studies and English, and farming and playing sports with them. We also eat all of our meals there, so we're basically there all day. I love just living life with them, and getting to know them.

On Christmas day we are going to throw a party at Teen Challenge, complete with decorations, snacks, and a movie (we're hoping to find How the Grinch Stole Christmas...)! I'll post a video after Christmas, so you can join us in all the fun! ;-)

Merry Christmas!!

Tha ChatChai - say it really fast!

Last month we worked with YWAM!

YWAM has over 60 ministry locations all throughout Thailand.

It was "manistry month" so all the men from all the teams formed their own team, and went up to Chiang Mai for the month. We Habibi girls went down south to the tiny town of Tha Chatchai!

We worked with Dana and Cindy, two missionaries from California, who have lived in Tha Chatchai for a couple year now. Their ministries include teaching English, running a church/kids club, and community clean up. We joined them each day in their ministry, and were also able to go to Patong (a red light district) a couple times, to pass out tracks and talk with the women and men there. My teammate, Aimee, has a really good video from our first night in Patong. You can see it here:

It was a blessing being with Americans during the holidays lol. They made us feel at home (making us pancakes, and burritos, and such), especially during Thanksgiving! They took us to Patong, where we enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, complete with all the fixings!

If I had to give last month a theme, it would be "Change". God taught me a lot last month. I was resistant, reluctant, and ready to go home, but God is faithful, and through last month i learned a lot about contentment, passion, and perserverence!

CAMBODIA

We're in Cambodia now! So far, I LOVE this country! And i'm very excited to see what God will do through us this month! We have new teams, new team names, and a new type of ministry. I'll have more on all this soon! =)
